Leafstar
Basic Info
Clan: ShadowClan
Rank: Leader
Gender: She-cat
Age: 31 Moons
Relations: Cedarfang of ThunderClan (Brother) |Hawkfall of ThunderClan (Father) | Smallfeather (Mother)
Physical Description
Leafstar is a quite small brown and white tabby she-cat with slender legs and dainty paws. Her slim form and slender build come from her mother, Smallfeather, and enable her to move fluidly and silently. Her dappled and striped fur gives her great camouflage underneath the dark pines of her home and as well as other foliage. Her plumy tail is long for her body and gives her great balance, which lets her climb with relative confidence. She has the piercing amber eyes of her father, Hawkfall, which she hates as he is from ThunderClan.
Leafstar has two scars that mar her soft, medium length pelt. One is a nick out of her right ear just below the middle on the right side. That was her first scar from a battle against a RiverClan patrol near the end of her apprenticeship. The second is a longer scar on her right shoulder that she go while chasing a fox from the territory as a warrior.
Personality
Quiet | Determined | Resourceful | Guarded | Sharp Tongue
Quiet - Leafstar is not one for being loud and playful. She's reserved and keeps a sharp eye out as a silent observer of her Clan. It is rare if she makes idle conversation about menial subjects.
Determined - Being Half-Clan, Leafstar has had to work hard to prove herself to her Clanmates. She has always been a little bitter at how something she has no control over constantly dogs her. But her heritage has taught her to persevere and never give up, a trait that she has come to be thankful in many situations.
Resourceful - With her smaller size, Leafstar has learned to be resourceful as she can not always rely on brute strength. She has learned to be thoughtful and cunning more so than using force to complete her tasks. She is still rather young, though, which means she still has much to learn through experience and mistakes.
Guarded - After her brother, Cedarfang, left ShadowClan to join their father in ThunderClan, Leafshadow grew guarded. What she saw as a betrayal hit her hard, and she never found it easy to open up to others after that. With her mother dying shortly after getting apprenticed, Leafstar felt utterly alone with her brother gone, making her rapidly harden to avoid getting hurt.
Sharp Tongue - When Leafstar loses her temper, she is no longer very reserved. Her tongue is nearly as sharp as her claws when giving rebukes, which doesn't make friends very easily. Leafstar was chosen as deputy, then leader for her level head and determination rather than her amiability.
First Glance
At first glance, Leafstar is probably overlooked. Small in size and quiet, she isn't the center of attention, nor wants to be. Her guarded personality doesn't give a welcoming vibe either. Generally solemn, Leafstar seems like a no-nonsense, firm warrior. She has an air of confidence and assurance around her that shows that there might be more than meets the eye with this small tabby she-cat.
In-Depth
Not many know Leafstar well. Guarded and her time preoccupied with leading her Clan, there's not much room for letting in good friends and taking mates. The she-cat is still young though, and while she has a reserved and cool air, she's very unsure of herself sometimes. While she is determined to do her best as a leader, she sometimes fears that her Clanmates might not be happy with StarClan's choice. Being Half-Clan has followed her her entire life, and Leafstar knows it will haunt her leadership as well. She is afraid of letting people get close to her since her brother left her to go to ThunderClan. After that, she has not trusted anyone with anything than what she feels necessary to share as a leader. Despite what others may think, Leafstar truly cares deeply about the members of ShadowClan. She would give all of her nine lives in a heartbeat for anyone of them. Leafstar will never admit her loneliness to anyone though, not even herself, and she's determined to lead her Clan to the best of her ability.

History
Leafblaze was born Leafkit to Smallfeather of ShadowClan and Hawkfall of ThunderClan. Her and her brother, Cedarfang, known then as Cedarkit, were Half-Clan kits. They stayed with their mother in ShadowClan, growing up with judgement surrounding them. It wasn't easy being Half-Clan, and they both relied heavily on each other. Their kithood was quite challenging for them as they were young and didn't understand why they were disliked. Leafkit and her brother were seen as a mockery of the Warrior Code, and saw them as ill-omens.
When her 6th moon came around, Leafkit was apprenticed to Raventail, a senior warrior of the Clan, taking on the name Leafpaw. Anxious and nervous, she was unsure of what to make of it. Raventail was a hard mentor, constantly asking of her, and one day, she snapped at him. She accused him of treating her harshly because of her Half-Clan, and Raventail admitted that he was being hard. But he was being hard to make her strong. Raventail explained that no matter what, she'd be followed by her heritage, and that she would always have to work harder than everyone else to prove herself. After that, Leafpaw was determined and never complained again. About two moons into her training, her mother, Smallfeather, passed away due to sickness. It was heartbreaking to her, and she stuck close to Raventail and her Cedarpaw, her brother. By now, her Clanmates treated her indifferently rather than with dislike. While it was lonely, it was much better than mockery and ridicule.
A newly made warrior, Leafshadow was attending her first Gathering with her new status. Proud and excited, she was looking forward to the truce. She had made it, despite the hardships that had plagued her. But that night would go down as one of the worst nights for the young warrior. Her brother, now Cedarfang, pushed his way forwards towards the front of the crowd of assembled cats near the end of the evening and made an announcement that would wound her forever. Her brother announced that he was leaving ShadowClan to join their father in ThunderClan. Understandably, ShadowClan was outraged and Cedarfang was cast out, blaming his disloyalty on his Half-Clan blood. Leafshadow couldn't understand her brother's betrayal. They had worked so hard to get where they were now, and he was throwing it away. ThunderClan had already agreed to accept him before the announcement, and their father was thrilled. When Hawkfall and Cedarfang tried to approach her that night, she threatened to break the truce and wanted nothing to do with her. Cedarfang pleaded for her to come wtih, but Leafshadow was appalled. The last thing she said to him was, "You're a traitor and a dishonor to our mother. ShadowClan is better off without you, and so am I,". And that was that.
About 12 moons after her brother left, Leafshadow found herself named deputy to the surprise of all. Life had grown rough again for a while, her brother's leaving bringing forth her Clanmates hatred of Half-Clans again. But it dwindled quickly as she learned to harden herself against them. Raventail had been killed by a fox 7 moons ago, and she now relied only on herself. She dedicated all of her time and energy to being deputy, and soon there was no more talk of her Half-Clan blood. While her Clanmates didn't seem to like her much, they did seem to have a grudging respect. When ShadowClan's leader was suddenly struck with a terrible sickness, it was a shock. The sickness took his last two lives away, thrusting Leafshadow into the leadership position at the young age of 29 moons.

O O O Cedarfang - "Oh, Cedarfang....Why did you leave me all alone? Why did you leave at all? I hate you for what you did to me, for how you betrayed me. After all we had gone through together, you just threw it away! And for what?! To be with Hawkfall? The father who was never there for us, who gave us up? I was there for you. Me. Not him. But I guess it doesn't matter now. You're gone. But you're still my brother.... and I miss you."
O O OHawkfall - "I'm ashamed to call him my father. He's from ThunderClan, those stuck-up cats who think they're everyone's keeper. He abandoned us... and then he swept my brother away. He took the only one who brought me any happiness, left me to fend for myself. My mother was gone, now my brother, and soon after my mentor. But I guess that made me hard, made me learn. He's dead now, though. It's not surprising that he left my brother, just as he left us at birth. Some may say I'm cruel, but I can't say I'm sad that I'll never see him again."
O O OSmallfeather - "I miss you. I hope you're happy in StarClan. I'll never be able to thank you for being there, for being my mother. I hope that I can make you proud...I...I love you."
O O ORaventail - "You taught me so much, and that's something I will be forever grateful for. You were the best mentor that anyone could hope for. I wish you were still here, but I know you're watching over from StarClan. You were the greatest friend I ever had. You were like a father to me. A real father. Thank you, Raventail."
O O Oakstar - "While I must admit that I do not know much of anything about Oakstar, I can't say that I like him much. But to be fair, I don't like much of ThunderClan at all. But I'll do my best to keep an open mind. I hope he proves me wrong."
